Delhi Rajouri Garden seat fell vacant after AAP MLA Jarnail Singh resigned to content in Punjab assembly poll against Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal from Lambi. Rajouri Garden by-poll is scheduled for April 9.

Harjeet Singh is Aam Adami Party candidate from Rajouri Garden this time. Congress asked Meenakshi Chandela to contest election from Rajouri Garden. After SAD’s flop show in Punjab, SAD’s Manjinder Singh Sirsa will contest from Rajouri Garden under BJP’s ticket.

Rajouri Garden bypoll is a critical test for Aam Adami Party and Arvind Kejriwal, this bypoll will decide Kejriwal’s popularity in Delhi. On other hand, Congress is hoping to win the seat and have a presence in Delhi Assembly. After Uttar Pradesh clean sweep BJP is very confident of winning Rajouri Garden seat and increase number of BJP’s legislature in Delhi Assembly.
